In honor of its third anniversary, the Publican is offering a three-course prix fixe dinner with items from its opening menu for $33 tonight through Sunday.
Next week, it offers two more special prix fixe meals.
BostonBrooklyn Brewery brewmaster Garrett Oliver, editor of the just-out Oxford Companion to Beer, makes the claim that it's the most comprehensive book ever published on the subject, and in her review this week, Julia Thiel says she hasn't found any evidence that he's wrong: the 920-page tome has more than 1,000 entries from 161 contributors. Oliver will sign the book Tuesday, October 10, beginning at 5:30 PM at the Publican; Herb Eckhouse of La Quercia will also be on hand. There will be an optional four-course prix fixe dinner in honor of the occasion; it's $55, $75 with pairings from Brooklyn Brewery. The menu— along with the menu for the Publican's October 12 Michael Ruhlman-inspired dinner and book signing of Ruhlman's Twenty—follows after the jump.
