Paul McGee
According to what the lords of Google tell us are the most read posts of the week, people like reading about two things: City job cuts and fancy cocktails.

This past week, Mike Sula reported that renowned mixologist Paul McGee is leaving the Whistler for a new venture by the Melmans. Elsewhere, Mick Dumke wrote about how deep city job cuts are affecting black and Hispanic neighborhoods more than they are anywhere else. Dumke also documented an appearance he made on CAN TV, wherein former CPD superintendent Jody Weis criticized pot arrests.

Ben Joravsky is up to his usual shenanigans—this week he was riffing on how he doesn't dislike all Republicans and how money goes to the CME, not to public libraries.

Michael Miner was happy to see the Sun-Times break—and subsequently receive credit for—a scoop on Charlie Trotter closing his restaurant.

And Deanna Isaacs reminds us that the Art Institute is free to Illinois residents through February 10, but only on weekdays.
