At Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar tonight artist and wine buff Thomas Arvid is unveiling three new paintings to go along with a wine dinner featuring California whites and reds and dishes like ahi tuna skewers and petite fillet au poivre. Katherine Duncan, local chocolatier and founder of Katherine Anne Confections, is hosting 12 Perfect Pairs: artisan truffles, Vine Joy wines, cheese bites, and Half Acre brews in a dozen combinations. Sweets include champagne raspberry truffle and "hot" chocolate marshmallow, while cheeses include Cowda on pistachio shortbread with fig jam and smoked salmon on a bagel chip with mango-dill-jalapeño cream cheese. 5:30-9 PM, Katherine Anne Confections, 2745 W. The Chicago Marriott gives you the opportunity to make wine with your valentine, and throwing in dinner on top of it. Participants will make a six-gallon vat of wine (which comes to 25-30 bottles), partake in a grape stomping competition, take home complimentary engraved wine glasses, and come back ten weeks later for bottling. 6:30-9:30 PM, Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, 540 N. At the Chicago French Market's Chocolate Fest you can indulge in everything chocolate and schmooze with chocolate makers; there will also be chef demos and live music. 11 AM-2 PM, Chicago French Market, 131 N. Clinton, 312-575-0306, FREE.

It’s time for Delilah’s 14th annual Vintage Beer Festival, featuring more than 100 beers from over 50 microbreweries across the globe, with an emphasis on strong ales and vintage dated brews as well as local breweries. 12-5 PM, Delilah’s, 2771 N. Lincoln, 773-472-2771, $20 for 20 sample tickets.

The monthly Dose Market returns featuring vendors as wide ranging as Great Lake Cheese Dream Theo Gilbert of Ripasso, Mark Mendez of Vera, Burton’s Maplewood Farm and a new pop up pickle shop from The Bedford's Mark Steuer, with cocktails by Henri's Clint rogers. 10 AM, River East Art Center, 456 E. Tonight at the Eno in the InterContinental Hotel, Margy Kaye of Sweet Margy Confection Diva will teach you to make English-style toffees while you sip Ayala Brut Majeur Champagne, 2000 Ramos Pinto Porto, and Kracher Chardonnay #10 Trockenbeeren Auslese. 7 PM, Eno, 505 N. At Sepia, executive chef Andrew Zimmerman is offering a four-course menu with optional pairings. Each course has at least two options, such as carpaccio of porchetta di testa with frisee, pickled red onion, and whole grain mustard vinaigrette; orecchette with lobster, savoy cabbage, bacon, and cippolini; chicken-fried quail with a wild rice waffle and black trumpet mushrooms; spice-crusted duck with baby turnips, turnip greens, and duck skin migas; and grilled sirloin with crispy bone marrow, creamed spinach, and roasted fingerlings in bordelaise sauce. Last seating is at 9:30 PM Sepia, 123 N. Jefferson, 312-441-1920, $80,$135 with pairings.

The Valentine’s Day package at Act One Cafe features four courses and live Spanish guitar by Carlo Basile, plus half-price champagne and wine. 5-10 PM, Act One Cafe, 1330 W. Morse,, $50.

At the Logan Square's Telegraph Wine Bar chef Johnny Anderes offers a four-course prix fixe with choices including kusshi oysters with cucumber and domestic caviar; ash-rubbed Krawford lamb saddle with blackened goat cheese, spaetzle, pear mostarda, and shaved turnips; and ice-wine-poached pears with chestnut praline mousse, butternut squash, and sabayon. And at Boys Town’s Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club, a four-course Valentine's Day prix fixe menu includes a specialty "love potion martini," a fois gras torchon, and a fillet with English pea puree, red pepper gastrique, and potato confit.
