Of course the Beatles' story has been told hundreds of times already in books, movies, and Mojo articles, but Harrison was so massively unimpressed with the whole thing that revisiting the saga solely from his perspective may have been one of the last viable options for rolling it out yet again. As a rabid Beatlemaniac, I was disappointed that Scorsese spent so much time on the Fab Four era and so little on Harrison's solo career, aside from his canonical All Things Must Pass album. (So disappointed, in fact, that I watched the thing only 10 or 12 times.) I can't argue that the post-All Things solo records are any great shakes, but Harrison could always be counted on for a few good tunes; it seems odd that, ten years after the guy died, there still isn't a decent anthology of his solo work.
