This Friday a slew of local designers, including Brynn Cappella, Mohop, Kristin Hassan, and Squasht by Les, take part in FashionChicago, a shopping event sponsored by StyleChicago.com. It's from 5 to 10 PM at the Museum of Broadcast Communications, 360 N. State. Tickets are $25 and include cocktails, small bites, and access to the afterparty at the Board Room. For $45 to $95 you can also attend a runway show at 7:30 PM.

During the entire month of May, the personal stylists of juliewatsonstyle are offering discounts of up to 20 percent at several stores in the 900 Shops—including J. Crew, L.K. Bennett, and DNA2050—with a three-hour "Shop the Shops" styling session. Email inquiries@juliewatsonstyle.com or call 888-535-0047.

It's time for another Vintage Heaven, which brings together secondhand vendors on Saturday and Sunday at Heaven Gallery, 1550 N. Milwaukee, from noon to 6 both days.

On Sunday from noon to 3, Mark Shale and local designer Borris Powell team up for “Spring Awakening: 25 Years of Brunch & Fashion in Bloom,” a benefit for Chicago House, which supplies housing and supportive services for people with HIV and AIDS. The event includes a three-course brunch, cocktails, a flower market, a raffle, and a silent auction. It's at the Harold Washington Library Center, 400 S. State. Tickets start at $200; go to www.chicagohouse.org.
