But his snacks for the Bucktown lounge's California beer tasting tonight at 7:30 PM include Belgian-style lace cookies with lemon curd and rhubarb, along with artisanal cheeses, pulled rabbit crostini with blueberries, and flatbreads with goat cheese, pork sausage, mushrooms, and house-made giardiniera. Among the dozen beers are Stone Brewing's 2011 Old Guardian, Lagunitas Brewing Company's Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale, Green Flash's Saison Diego, and Port Brewing's Anniversary Ale—"nothing supercrazy," says our resident geek, but air-conditioning is included.
