If you missed out on the Taste of Little Italy, the 31st annual Taste of Melrose Park may help satisfy your Italian food cravings, serving up various Italian treats including sfingi (doughnut holes), arancini, cannoli, and fried bologna sandwiches. Fri 5-11 PM, Sat noon-11 PM, Sun noon-10 PM, Village Hall, 1000 N. 25th, free admission, food and drink additional.

For those looking to show their Polska pride, join Chicago as it gets in touch with its Polish heritage at this weekend's Taste of Polonia. Chicago's vast Polish population will be serving up all the Polish staples; pierogies, potato pancakes, kielbasa, and more, along with Polish beer. Live entertainment, including polka and Polish rock bands, artists and traditional folk dancing will be featured at the festival. Fri 5-11 PM, Sat-Sun noon-11 PM, Mon noon-10 PM, Copernicus Center, 5216 W. Lawrence, $7 at the gate, $5 for seniors, kids under 12 free.

Small Bar Division commemorates eight years on Division Street with a pig roast from chef Justin White. Draft beers and live music round out the festivities. 3-11 PM, Smallbar Division, 2049 W. Division, $15 includes one draft beer of your choice and all you can eat from the picnic spread.

The national holiday dedicated to America's workforce will be celebrated Hawaiian style at Howl at the Moon's Labor Day Luau. $20 86 oz. Mai Tai buckets, Bacardi specials, dueling pianos, and a limbo contest with $500 in cash and prizes. Doors open 7 PM, Howl at the Moon Chicago, 26 W. Hubbard, 21+.

Saint Basil of Ostrog Serbian Orthodox Church hosts the Taste of Serbia, where you can find grilled ćevapčići and pljeskavica (Serbian sausages and burgers), along with krempita (custard cream pie) for dessert while listening to Serb tambura music. Church tours and a fun park also available. Sun-Mon noon-midnight, Saint Basil of Ostrog, 27450 N. Broadway, Lake Forest, free admission, food and drink additional.

Oak Street Beach closes out the beach season with an all-you-can-eat pig roast, featuring roast pork, pulled pork sliders, honey-buttered corn, and potato salad. Featured beverages are Dos Equis and Cuervo margaritas. 2-6 PM, Oak Street Beach, 1001 N. Lake Shore, $40.

Element Collective and Vander Mill Brewing Co. release their collaborative special edition cider, the Loving Cup, at Old Town Social in a foodie-friendly approach to the NFL Regular Season Kick-Off. A special pig roast menu will be prepared by Jared Van Camp to complement the cider. Vander Mill brewers will be on site with additional cider selections on tap. 5 PM, Old Town Social, 455 W. North, cider $6 for 12 ounces, food specials and pairings available separately.

Veggie Bingo at the Hideout this week benefits Jelly Bean Garden. Free Hot Doug's hot dogs; grand prize is a box of fresh produce from Irv & Shelly's Fresh Picks. 5:30-8 PM, the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia, bingo cards $2 each.
