Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered:

The latest installment of Lincoln Hall's ongoing film series "The 3 Penny Was Here?" features a pair of comedy favorites, The Big Lebowski and the locally shot High Fidelity, the latter of which name drops the Reader and stars John Cusack as the sort of Wicker Park hipster some may still secretly aspire to be.

Local synth artist Laura Callier, who performs under the pseudonym Gel Set, performs at the Empty Bottle in celebration of the release of her album Microsoftcore XXXCell, which "sounds like a lone candle struggling to light a basement covered in metal; the pleasures come not in the center of the tiny fire but on the edge of the flame as it fights against the steely cold and barren darkness that closes in around it," according to Leor Galil. Magic Key, Matchess, and Sarah Weis open.

In the mood for a more classical sound? The Chicago Composers Orchestra is performing at the Garfield Park Conservatory, where head honcho Lawrence Axelrod will debut his new concerto written in collaboration with bass clarinetist J. Lawrie Bloom.
