The Chosen Few Old School Reunion Picnic has hosted house music outdoors since the genre's invention over two decades ago. Wayne Williams, Jesse Saunders, Alan King, and more play sets today in Jackson Park.

More than 100 artists gather this weekend at the North Michigan Avenue Art Festival to present their work and mingle with visitors. Nearly every conceivable medium is represented, from paintings and sculpture to cattail-reed mosaics and cigar-box lamps.

Pocket Con at the Gary Comer Youth Center is a comic-book convention showcasing minority authors and artists as well as comic-book characters of color. Presenters include Turtel Onli, Gene Ha, and D-Nick the Microphone Misfit. Teens and adults are welcome.
