Woo Hoo! Classic Simpsons Trivia returns to Pizzeria Serio tonight and, trust us, the competition is serious. In our Best of Chicago issue Luca Cimarusti noted that the contest only focuses on the first 11 seasons so that, as one player put it, "There's no shit."
The Music Box screens Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me tonight, a documentary about the 1970s cult band from Memphis. J.R. Jones calls the film "a tale of extraordinary creative accomplishment followed by bitter rejection; it has the power of a pop myth."
The Sun-Times laid off its stable of photographers in May, but you can see work by some of them—including Pulitzer winner John H. White—at the Chicago Photography Center's show "See What You Missed," curated by a pair of former Tribune photojournalists.
