Comic Con is a great opportunity to share air with an occasionally confusing assortment of celebrities (Andrew McCarthy of Weekend at Bernie's), but mostly it's great because of the ordinary people. In Grant Park, Icelandic artist Steinunn Thorarinsdottir presents his public installation Borders, featuring 26 sculptures of abstract human figures.
An estimated 45,000 rubber ducks will race down the Chicago River during the Windy City Rubber Ducky Derby, a benefit for Special Olympics Illinois.
