Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered:

Howard Shore's score for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is the only one in the trilogy to not receive an Academy Award, but even MJ didn't win the MVP every season. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is performing the composition tonight and tomorrow at Ravinia, a show worth leaving the Shire for.

"Uruguayan bandoneon master Raul Jaurena is arguably the greatest practitioner of modern tango at work in the U.S.," writes Peter Margasak in Soundboard. Catch Jaurena's free set tonight at Grant Park.

Kristen Kaza and DJ Tess have been hosting Slo 'Mo at the Whistler, "slow jams for homos (and their fans)," for two years now. Tonight, they bring in DJ WeTheory to help celebrate the anniversary.
