If you're watching Tommy Wiseau's 2003 movie (and cult favorite) The Room, a very reasonable question to ask yourself is "How the hell did this get made?" Finally, insight. Wiseau's costar and colleague Greg Sestero wrote The Disaster Artist, a really funny, sympathetic book about the story behind the "greatest bad movie ever made." Sestero presents his book and hosts a screening of the movie as well as a short documentary about its production tonight at the Music Box.
Local firefighters and paramedics perform in the stand-up comedy competition "Stop, Drop, and Laugh" at the Laugh Factory. Proceeds benefit the 100 Club of Chicago.
