The end of December always has music lovers scrambling to list off their favorite releases of the year, myself included. I'm having a really difficult time narrowing mine down, but one thing is for sure: my absolute favorite song of 2013 is today's 12 O'Clock Track, "Cul-De-Sac" by Connections, from April's Tough City EP. I've gushed about how much I love the Times New Viking offshoot, based in Columbus, Ohio, on multiple occasions, and I can say with confidence that I have listened to this song on repeat more than anything else this year. It's an insanely catchy, heartfelt indie pop gem, brimming with hooks and melodies. I've had it on repeat the entire time I wrote this post, adding even more plays to this perfect song off of an equally perfect EP.
