The lineup is always a fun-as-hell mixed bag of grimy acts, and this year's includes old standbys like the Brokedowns—the best band out of the suburbs—who have played every Ian's Party to date, and local metal trio the Swan King, as well as some excellent out-of-towners like Wisconsin power-poppers Tenement and Ultra Bide, the long-running experimental punk trio out of south central Japan.
