On the walls of Northwestern's Deering Library, Marco Rotelli projects his latest light installation, inspired by the work of Dylan Thomas and designed to celebrate "the triumph of the human spirit over the forces of cold and melancholy."
Jena Cutie recommends checking out Sister, a "film conceived as dance" by performance art group Lewis Forever. "In Sister, each quashed sibling reappears undead and ready to kill again. It's a metaphor for the process of collaboration, which [Lewis Forever] say is a horror in itself and involves its own version of killing," writes Cutie. Catch the show at the Chicago Cultural Center.
Cloud Control performs at Schubas. "Cloud Control's 2013 album, Dream Cave (TurnOut), jumps around like a jukebox filled with pop hits dating back to the 50s that's playing on shuffle," writes Leor Galil in Soundboard. Mister Suit opens.
