The ladies of the Windy City Rollers are fastening up their skates for a new year of battles on the rink. In tonight's face-offs at UIC Pavilion, the Manic Attackers take on the Fury and the Double Crossers go up against Hell's Belles.
The Soul Summit—wherein members of the city's soul scenes unite for a huge-ass dance party—celebrates its fourth birthday with an even bigger-ass dance party. The evening at Double Door will feature resident DJs Sloppy White, Dave Mata, and Duke Grip and special guests DJ Akalepse (from New York) and DJ E da Boss (from LA).
In Heavens What Have I Done?, New York-based dancer Miguel Gutierrez makes a grand spectacle of striking down minimalism, doing so through monologue, dance, and most importantly, a Marie Antoinette wig. See the show at the Chicago Cultural Center. Read Jena Cutie's write-up here.
