Read what they have to say about running an art gallery in Wicker Park after the jump.
LVL3 director Vincent Uribe was interviewed via e-mail:
Isa Giallorenzo: Why did you decide to open LVL3?
Vincent Uribe: It happened sort of on accident. The space fell into my control back in 2010, and I decided to take it and run with it.
What is it like to run an art gallery in Wicker Park?
It's exciting to have the amazing opportunity to meet with and work with so many artists. Making connections between people and promoting the work we so greatly respect has always been the driving force behind our programming.
Can you tell me a bit about what you were wearing that night?
That night was particularly special for us as we were celebrating our four-year anniversary since starting LVL3. We also just launched a new website, lvl3media.com, and expanded our LVL3 interview series. My outfit that night [was] basically all from asos.com, and Anna's was a vintage thrift-store find.
hArts for Art takes place on Saturday, March 29, at LVL3, 1542 N. Milwaukee, 312-469-0333. Bidding ends at 9:30 PM, but you can bid online in advance here.
