Today wraps up a four-day celebration of all things Irish. Chicago Gaelic Park Irish Fest includes unlimited carnival rides, a Gaelic Athletic Association football match, music from the Screaming Orphans ("they're not orphans and they don't scream"), and a photo op with the Famous Idaho Potato, a 72-foot-long potato-toting truck.
Chicago artists and recent graduates of the School of the Art Institute "explore the intersection of creative process, self-awareness, and personal narrative," in the pop-up gallery "Yes, You're in Heaven" in the Gold Coast. Read Noah Berlatsky's review of the gallery, and go check it out for yourself today.
Grammy award winner Victor Wooten plays SPACE tonight in Evanston. He and his band are expected to play new and old material, as well as some improvisational work.
