Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered.

"Guitarist Sir Richard Bishop has been making himself pretty scarce for the past four years, releasing very little music (aside from stuff on his own CD-R label) and not touring the States at all," writes Peter Margasak. Alas, tonight he's playing the Empty Bottle tonight, along with Tash Dorji and Ryley Walker. The show starts at 9 PM.

If you're in the mood for something more punk rock, X is playing the first of four shows tonight at City Winery.

And tonight at the Siskel Center, former Reader film critic Jonathan Rosenbaum hosts a screening and lecture series that explores various forms of American comedy and satire called the Unquiet American: Transgressive Comedies From the U.S. The first film up is Harry d'Arrast's Laughter (1930).
