Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered.
Rock out at day one of Riot Fest, the last hurrah for summer music festivals. Today's top acts include Jane's Addiction, Rise Against, Of Mice & Men, and a discussion panel with Pussy Riot. A ferris wheels, mini golf, arcade games, and a haunted house offer additional diversion between sets.
As part of the first annual Chicago on Screen Local Film Showcase, Union Park is screening seven Chicago-based short films at 7:30 PM tonight. The September-wide Chicago on Screen series celebrates "the incredible diversity and talent of Chicago's filmmaking community," according to the Chicago Park District.
Lions, Tigers, and Brews, oh my! Lincoln Park Zoo hosts a craft beer festival filled with craft-brewed lagers, IPAs, and amber ales this evening. Brewery vendors and food trucks have you covered if you're thirsty like a wolf or hungry like a hippo, and the zoo also has you covered if you want to go see the wolves or hippos.
