Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered.

If you thought Riot Fest was the last big rock show of the season, Goose Island hosts the 312 Urban Block Party, headlined by the Breeders. Luca Cimarusti hopes the band plays songs off their album Pod. "[The album] has more in common with the early work of front woman Kim Deal's other band at the time, the Pixies (you may have heard of them). It's creepy, eerie, and haunting, kept alive by Steve Albini's massive antiproduction." Twin Peaks and Unknown Mortal Orchestra are also on the bill.

At Constellation the Chicago Wandelweiser Festival is a celebration of the international collective of minimalist composers co-organized by our own Peter Margasak. Festivities include a panel discussions and performances by R. Andrew Lee and a.pe.ri.od.ic featuring Swiss Wandelweiser Composer, Jürg Frey.

Lincoln Square's Apple Festival has pies, cookies, lattes, martinis, ciders, and even pizzas made with the fall fruit, and there's other stuff for those in the mood for something different. (Pumpkin, anyone?). There's also live music, rides, and more family-friendly activities to keep everyone entertained.
