Both Ghastly Menace and Oshwa have kept busy cooking up new songs throughout 2014, and the local experimental-pop outfits are just now starting to share them with the world. Last month, the six-piece Ghastly Menace shared "Closing" from their forthcoming debut album Songs of Ghastly Menace, due out from the Record Machine on January 27. Oshwa haven't shared any new recorded material since their Tigers EP came out a year ago, but they've teased a snippet of a new song via Facebook and promised to play more at their show tonight at the Beat Kitchen.

The psych-pop bands are joined by fellow locals Panda Riot, as well as the east-coast group Son Step. Doors open at 8 PM and the music starts at 9 PM; tickets are $8 and the event is 21+.

Listen to Ghastly Menace's new song "Closing" below.
