Time to plan the weekend. Here's some of what we recommend:

Fri 4/29: Christopher Wayne and Mike Tyler prove that you don't need clothes to be a skilled magician at The Naked Magic Show at Park West (322 W. Armitage), a show combining sleight of hand with stripping. 7:30 PM

4/29-4/30: The annual Chicago Zine Fest celebrates small press and independent publishers from all over the city with discussions, workshops, and more at Workshop Chicago (935 W. Chestnut) and Plumbers Hall (1340 W. Washingon). For a full schedule of events, visit chicagozinefest.org.

Sat 4/30: The spring series of the Chicago Humanities Festival is all about style. Today kicks off with Style Matters at 12:30 PM at the Art Institute of Chicago (111 S. Michigan), a panel discussion about all varieties of style featuring Carol Saller (The Subversive Copy Editor), Jude Stewart (Patternalia), and fashion designer Maria Pinto. (Read our interview with Saller and Pinto.) At 4 PM Elizabeth Cline discusses her book Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel (12 S. Michigan).

Sat 4/30:
Celebrate whiskey the U.S. way at the American Whiskey Festival at Crown Liquors (2821 N. Milwaukee), which features unlimited samples of more than 100 different kinds, barbecue from Haywood Tavern, a tasting glass, and specials on all whiskey cocktails. 1-4 PM

Sat 4/30-Sun 5/1: An entire fest dedicated to that beloved pork product, Baconfest at the UIC Pavilion (525 S. Racine) features three different sessions to choose from, each one featuring myriad chefs serving up bacon in every way imaginable. Sat noon and 7 PM, Sun noon

Sun 5/1: Explore Chicago's centuries-long history of scandal by visiting the places where it all went down during the Chicago Corruption Walking Tour. There are two packages: the first spans about a mile and ends at State Street, while the second (the "Bleepin' Golden Package") goes on for a second mile and ends at the Chicago Brown Line stop. Both start at 427 S. Clark. 1 PM

Sun 5/1: Three Dots and a Dash (435 N. Clark) host its second annual Tiki Luau and Pig Roast featuring cocktails and food from bars and restaurants across the country—New York's Cocktail Kingdom and Nashville's the Patterson House among them. A percentage of the proceeds benefit the James Beard Foundation. 1 PM
