Two FBI agents were shot while serving an arrest warrant to an alleged gang member at a home in Park Forest Tuesday. A man identified as Melvin Toran, described by a law-enforcement source as a "reputed high-ranking member of the Black P Stone Nation," was then found dead inside the house. Toran, 50, allegedly sold heroin to an FBI informant. [Daily Southtown]
No one wants to wait in line for two-plus hours to get through airport security. After facing heavy criticism about excruciatingly long security lines at O'Hare and Midway airports, the Transportation Security Administration made some quick fixes to bring lines down immediately. The waiting time is already down to 15 minutes at O'Hare, according to an American Airlines spokeswoman. [Tribune]
De'Kayla Dansberry, 15, was stabbed to death during a large fight; a 13-year-old girl and her mother were charged with Dansberry's death.
