Time to plan the weekend. Here's some of what we recommend:

Fri 6/10: Stand-up comic and Nightly Show correspondent Felonious Munk performs one last time at the Silver Room (1442 N. Milwaukee) before he moves to New York. Join Dave Helem as he hosts this goodbye event, with special guests dropping in to bid the comedian farewell. 8 PM

Fri 6/10:
In honor of Freelance Wrestling’s two-year anniversary, the Bottom Lounge (1375 W. Lake) hosts a night of the company's "no rules" wrestling competitions. 9 PM

Fri 6/10-Sun 6/12:
Returning for it’s fifth year in the Windy City, the Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (better known as CAKE) will be held at Center on Halsted (3656 N. Halsted). The event celebrates local independent comics with a weekend of workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, and panel discussions. 11 AM-6 PM

Fri 6/10-Sun 6/12:
Midsommarfest returns for its 51st year in Andersonville (5356 N. Clark). Expect live music, vendors from all over the midwest, lots of food, and activities to keep the kids entertained. Fri 5-10 PM, Sat and Sun 11 AM-10 PM

6/10-6/12: Ribfest Chicago, the public barbecue and music festival, takes over five blocks starting at the intersection of Lincoln and Irving Park and Damen, with more than 30 local vendors including PorkChop and Chicago BBQ Company. Fri 5-10 PM, Sat-Sun noon-10 PM

Sat 6/11:
The Promontory (5311 S. Lake Park) hosts Mortified, a literary event in which people share embarrassing childhood diaries, letters, and poems. This edition includes Reader contributor Jake Austen. 7 PM

Sat 6/11-Sun 6/12: Printers Row Lit Fest, the midwest's largest book fair, hosts panels, discussions, performances (musical and literary), and signings with guests like Marcia Clark, Seymour Hersh, Lindy West, and Buzz Aldrin—plus some 200 others at various locations near Printers Row. Among this year’s highlights is the presentation of the Chicago Tribune Young Adult Literary Award to R.L. Stine. Some events require tickets. 10 AM-6 PM

Stop by the Chicago Theatre (175 N. State) to see renowned comedian and filmmaker Mel Brooks present a screening of his classic comedy Blazing Saddles. A discussion of the making and production of the film follows. 3 PM
