There's plenty to do this weekend to avoid what's predicted to be the season's first snow. Here's some of what we recommend:

Fri 12/2:
Mark Bazer hosts state senator Daniel Biss, chef Stephanie Izard, and Vice gaming reporter Patrick Klepek on this month's The Interview Show at the Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia). 6:30 PM

Fri 12/2:
Laura Jane Grace stops by Women & Children First (5233 N. Clark) to read from Tranny: Confessions of Punk Rock’s Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout, the Against Me! singer's engrossing chronicle of her turbulent life: as a musician, as an anarchist, and as a transgender human being. 7 PM

12/2-12/11: Same Planet Different World Dance Theatre presents Honey at Dovetail Studios (2853 W. Montrose), a new work inspired by 70s disco. Fri-Sun 7 PM

Sat 12/3-Sun 12/4: The Renegade Holiday Craft Fair, the off-season edition of the art market taking place at the Bridgeport Art Center (1200 W. 35th), offers chilly Chicagoans the opportunity to peruse some handcrafted goodies without freezing to death. There's music, drinks, and snacks, too. 11 AM-6 PM

Sat 12/3:
Krampusfest is a seasonal tribute to Santa's evil counterpart, Krampus. The daylong event at Martyrs' (3855 N. Lincoln) includes live music, an art fair, German-style street food from Paulina Meat Market, and a traditional Krampuslauf parade. Costumes encouraged. Noon-8 PM

Sat 12/3: Journalist and former Reader editor Michael Lenehan stops by the Book Cellar (4736 N. Lincoln) to discuss his book Much Ado: A Summer With a Repertory Theater Company, which chronicles his time spent behind the scenes at Wisconsin-based American Players Theatre during its 2014 production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. 6 PM

Sat 12/3:
 Whether onstage, on his WTF podcast, or on his eponymous IFC show, Marc Maron has a distinctive way of putting a profound comedic spin on his own neurosis, his personal and romantic failures, and the darkness of daily life as a recovering addict. In July it was announced that the fourth season of his TV show would be its last, so expect him to be ready to unload during this stop on his "Too Real" tour at the Vic (3145 N. Sheffield). 7:30 PM

Sun 12/4: The holiday-themed bar hop the Reindeer Crawl starts with brunch at D.S. Tequila (3352 N. Halsted) then moves through Boystown. 11 AM

Sun 12/4:
Moscow Ballet presents their traditional Russian adaptation of the holiday classic The Nutcracker at Rosemont Theater (5400 N. River, Rosemont). 1 and 5 PM
