(i.e. "Sarah Squirm"), a comic known for performing in character and with absurd costumes, headlines the Empty Bottle's (1035 N. Western) Free Mondays series. Joining are New York comic Ruby McCollister, "multi-instrumentalist producer" Fire-Toolz, and artist Vail. 8:30 PM, free
The nonprofit educational center 826CHI hosts the Who Wants Love? Pop Up Print Show
at Ace Hotel (311 N. Morgan). Fifteen Chicago designers and illustrators created posters for sale that were inspired by students’ stories about love, and all proceeds support 826CHI. 5-10 PM

Named for the popular gay hook-up app, Grindr: The Opera
features four men, a mythical siren awakening from slumber, and contemporary pop music. The show takes place at Greenhouse Theater Center (2257 N. Lincoln). 10 PM, $23
The Punch House pays tribute to Selena on Valentine's Day with a prix-fixe menu and a DJ.
Honor your one true love (no, not your significant other): Selena, the Queen of Tejano music. Enjoy oysters, fondue, dessert, and tableside drink service at Punch House's (1227 W. 18th) Selena Tribute
party, where DJ Alive Girl spins the late singer's tracks exclusively. 9 PM-2 AM, $55-$110
The weekly show Hooking Up With The Second City,
which skewers love and relationships, is especially fitting for Valentine's Day. Just for today there's a package for two that includes floor seating at Up Comedy Club (champagne and dessert. 8 PM, $26 for general admission, $100 for Valentine's Day package
Thu 2/15: Neil Hilborn
is the most-watched poet on YouTube, with his piece "OCD" racking up more than 13 million views. He's appearing at Logan Square Auditorium (2539 N. Kedzie) to share selections from his best-selling books. 8 PM, $16
