90-Second Newbery Film Festival Recommended Free Agenda

When: Wed., Nov. 16 2011

James Kennedy's 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is premised upon the idea that you may not have time to read all the recipients of the Newbery Medal, the children's-book award bestowed annually since 1922. But you may have time to watch 90-second movies based on the books. So Kennedy solicited filmic adaptions—slightly longer submissions were allowed if they were "really ingeniously bonkers"—which screen tonight at an event that also includes live entertainment from the Neo-Futurists, Baby Teeth's Abraham Levitan, and more. —Sam Worley
