A Woman's Decision

A drab but occasionally gripping study in liberal humanism by Poland's Krzysztof Zanussi. He is not a particularly supple director, but he does manage to produce a few good performances and work some slight changes on his fairly obvious material. Maja Komorowska is an accountant who agonizes over leaving her husband; she is not very likable, which helps.
