Aces Up! Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament

The game is Texas Hold 'Em, and the celebrities are state treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, Sun-Times columnist Richard Roeper, former Bears defensive lineman Chris Zorich, and Tim King, founder of the Urban Prep Charter Academy, the south-side boys' school that is the event's beneficiary. There's a grand prize of $7,500. The evening begins with a cocktail reception, play commences at 7 PM, and all the complicated rules are spelled out on the Web site.

Price: $100, $300 for a seat at a table, 21+
