August 21 “Agate Collecting in South Dakota” Roger Clark, agate specialist and author of three books on Fairburn Agates, will present the collecting history and various types of Fairburn Agates that can be found in South Dakota. Discuss collecting locations in the Black Hill, Badlands and Grasslands and the value of specific agates. Learn why the Fairburn Agate is the South Dakota State Gemstone. Lecture – Ages 9 yrs to Adult – 2:00 pm – Regular Museum Admission
