Your comments on Al Franken and Randi Rhodes [Hot Type, April 23] just seem to be a dumb reiteration of the conventional wisdom on talk radio. If all talk-radio hosts have to be loudmouthed idiots, maybe you could explain the success of someone like the late Bob Collins or the Magliozzi brothers, who I guess you use to dis Franken. I tune into Franken almost every day, but find Rhodes almost unlistenable; the blowhard Limbaugh actually has a more pleasant manner. Who wants to listen to rants like this e-mail for two or three hours in the afternoon? It would ruin my day!
