Five hundred boats, including some exotic vessels from various James Bond films, will dock in Michigan City, Indiana, next weekend for the town's 21st annual "In-Water Boat Show." But the show's most irresistible attraction (move over, Stuart Little) is Twiggy, the waterskiing squirrel. Using his tail for ballast, Twiggy cruises a 25-foot circular pool, pulled by a remote-controlled boat. His publicity photo is as cute as it is perverse. New and used sail and power boats are brokered at this event, which will also offer a benefit chili-cooking competition, 15-minute sailing sessions in a simulator, a ten-foot tall aquarium stocked with bass, a floating restaurant, and a look at the Bond stuff--Q's boat from The World Is Not Enough and the Neptune submarine from For Your Eyes Only. The show opens Thursday, August 24, and runs through Sunday, August 27. Hours are noon to 8 Thursday and Friday, 10 to 8 Saturday, and 10 to 6 Sunday. Admission is $7, $1 for kids 12 and under. It takes place at Michigan City's Washington Park on the lakefront. Call 440-899-5009 or check out www.boatindiana.com.
