Always Leave Them Laughing

Milton Berle stars as a professional comedian in an autobiographical 1949 comedy-drama that he?s rumored to have partially directed after credited director Roy Del Ruth became ill. The film should be worth seeing if only for its glimpses of Berle's and Bert Lahr's stage acts. The script is by Jack Rose and Mel Shavelson; with Virginia Mayo, Ruth Roman, and Alan Hale.
