American Ballet Theatre celebrates its 80th anniversary. For this visiting resident company appearance at the Auditorium, ABT showcases classic and contemporary works from the company's history, including Antony Tudor’s Jardin aux Lilas, which premiered in the company's first-ever season in 1940. Marius Petipa's La Bayadère was added to the ABT repertory in 1980 in a version restaged by company dancer and choreographer Natalia Makarova. Twyla Tharp's 2019 piece Deuce Coupe makes its Chicago company premiere in this engagement.
