American Wedding

Screenwriter Adam Herz, whose teen sex comedies American Pie and American Pie 2 grossed $250 million, is calling this third installment the last, and not a moment too soon: his characters have grown up, but his gags are still trying to graduate from high school. The best performances come from opposite ends of the spectrum: young Seann William Scott, a terrible actor who's stumbled into the perfect part, commands a sick fascination as the crude and sexist Stiffler, while Eugene Levy, a seasoned clown who's become sort of an insurance policy for bad comedies (Bringing Down the House, Dumb and Dumberer), generates a few choice moments as the hero's baffled father. With Jason Biggs and Alyson Hannigan; Jesse Dylan (Bob's son) directed. R, 95 min.
