To the editors:

Hurrah for Mary Nissenson (Hot Type, June 5). Naturally when Argentines learn what some Americans do, and, by the rest of us, are allowed their freedom, the "little lower than the angels" view of humankind is not seen to hold much water.

We can't be decent Christians, or anything else decent, until at least that lower creature most like to us is included among the "least of these" to whom the best man yet alluded.
