It's always a pleasure to watch Dawn "Sam" Alden and Amy Harmon engage in stage combat, which is what they--long skirts tucked up out of the way--do in Tony Wolf's Satisfaction. Director David Woolley successfully integrates the swordplay into this one-act about a group of women in post-Civil War New Orleans as they ostensibly enjoy a picnic following a funeral. The second one-act on the bill, Mrs. Dire's House of Crumpets and Solutions by Byron Hatfield, is funnier and more charming. It focuses on a group of Victorian ladies who regularly plot revenge on abusive men, and a tight ensemble, directed by Alison Dornheggen, makes them both feminist and fun. Through 5/14: Thu-Sat 7:30 PM, Sun 7 PM, Viaduct Theater, 3111 N. Western, 773-275-0440, $15-$18.
