An Evening With the Pink Panther

Personally, I'd rather spend an evening with Ed Meese—these short cartoons, produced since the late 60s by former Warner Brothers animator Friz Freleng, represent the death knell of a noble tradition: they're so sluggish, unimaginative, and sloppily animated that they make Yogi Bear look like Fantasia. In all fairness, their incredibly low quality isn't entirely Freleng's fault: they came along at a time when virtually no money was available for theatrical shorts, and he probably deserves some credit for prolonging the form a few years beyond its natural demise. But that sure doesn't mean you have to sit through them.
