Architectural Digest sponsors this three-city program of tours "celebrating leading voices in the fields of architecture and design" (the others are being held in LA and New York City). Tickets are available at www.architecturedays.com; advance purchase is required. Proceeds benefit the Chicago Architecture Foundation and the Wright Preservation Trust. Greater North Michigan Avenue

The Ransom-Cable House and Saint James Episcopal Cathedral highlight this tour of the Mag Mile and its surroundings; a champagne reception follows at an apartment in a Mies building. 1:30-4 PM $50

"In Extraordinary Company"

Architect Rafael Vinoly discusses his recent commission, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, designed to complement Frank Lloyd Wright's nearby Robie House. The lecture takes place at LuxeHome at the Merchandise Mart. 2 PM $15
