Think of Bridesmaids or The Hangover, subtract any laughs or semblance of humanity, and you'll have this wretched comedy about a trio of mean girls (Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, Lizzy Caplan) trying to repair a ruined wedding gown before their fat friend (Rebel Wilson) gets married in the morning. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay produced a script by TV writer Leslye Headland, who makes her directing debut; she distinguishes herself only in squandering her talented leads as well as James Marsden, Adam Scott, and Ann Dowd. This is the sort of story in which true devotion is defined as showing up for a friend's abortion; do yourself a favor and don't show up for this one.
