Sacred Art

2040 W. Roscoe

Sarah Seyedin hosts an open house on the first Saturday of every month at her art boutique Sacred Art, but this Saturday, May 6, the agenda will be a bit different. Instead of the usual cocktails she's offering free cookies and juice as part of a Life Source blood drive that's kicking off a monthlong fund-raising effort by Seyedin on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Seyedin's also gotten her Roscoe Village neighbors to pony up freebies and discounts for all blood donors. After you give your pint you'll receive a sticker proving you're eligible for things like a free beer at the Village Tap and the Riverview Tavern, a cookie or a doughnut at Rudy's Bakery, coffee at Starbucks, and lots more. The blood drive's from 11 AM to 5 PM, and an appointment is recommended. The sticker is good all day.
