A program of nine Super-8 shorts produced in Berlin's postpunk underground during the late 70s and early 80s. Amateurism abounds, but the cheap film format ably served the era's do-it-yourself aesthetic, and some pieces have an invigorating immediacy. Georg Marioth's Morgenesänge is a Chaplinesque comedy, and grainy, flickering music clips showcase bands like Malaria! and Die Todliche Doris. There's also some fascinating video shot at Berlin's influential club SO36, featuring Einstürzende Neubauten, Die Gelbs, and others. 65 min.
