Black Moon AND Zombies of Mora Tau | Chicago Reader

Black Moon AND Zombies of Mora Tau

Two B-movies with voodoo and zombie themes, to be shown in 35-millimeter prints. The first, directed by Roy W. Neill in 1934 and starring Jack Holt, is about a troubled young wife (Dorothy Burgess) obsessed with the drumbeats of her native island, Saint Christopher, who returns there with a secretary (Fay Wray). The title zombies of the second, directed by Edward L. Cahn in 1957 (also known as The Dead That Walk), are former sailors who guard an African diamond treasure; this one stars Gregg Palmer and Allison Hayes.
