Black Sabbath

This 1963 film by Mario Bava, Italian master of exquisitely chilling atmosphere, is actually three short films linked by Boris Karloff's narration (and appearance in the second episode as a vampire who gains control over an entire family). Bava's Italianate Grand Guignol works well here and lifts this film more than a cut above the average.
