Because of his affiliation with the preeminent newspaper, The Chicago Defender, (his family, the Abbott-Sengstacke’s, have been owners of the preeminent Chicago African American newspaper), Bobby has had access to both celebrities and every day folk and has produced a significant body of photographic work.
