Luis Fernando Uribe's paintings and linoleum prints are full thick forests populated by ferocious animals and leaping and dancing people. Though the titles often refer to his dreams or to political events in his native country of Columbia, he chose to exhibit his work without titles in his current show--his first in the U.S.--at the Aldo Castillo Gallery, 3513 N. Lincoln; he thought some of their meanings were lost in translation and he didn't want to limit the imaginations of his viewers. The exhibit runs through September 18; the gallery is open noon to 7 Tuesday through Saturday. Call 525-2536 for more information.
