Capone's Whiskey: The Story of Templeton Rye Agenda Recommended

Filmmaker Kristian Day presents the Chicago premiere of his documentary Capone's Whiskey: The Story of Templeton Rye, which traces the history of the brand back to Prohibition, when Iowa farmers cooked the whiskey in their barns and machine sheds and Al Capone helped get it to speakeasies in Chicago, Kansas City, and Omaha. The film is presented by Gapers Block as a part of Whisky Week, and will be followed by a Q&A with Day and a cocktail reception featuring Templeton Rye.
