My father died several years ago and donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Association (AGA). At that time my only opportunity to view his body was at the AGA. Though my request was unusual, the AGA was empathetic and honored it. From that perspective, I found the article "Requiem for a Cadaver" (June 6) compelling. It is admirable that many of the medical students would try to deal with the science of death in a complex and compassionate manner. It must be very difficult to not completely detach from the cadaver as once being a living person. Those who tried to maintain a connection will be the better for it.
